About Bentleys

Bentleys is a whimsical collection of country classics and has become a favorite stop for Kama’aina and visitors alike. Founded in 1988 by Marty Hind, Bentleys has developed a style and following of its own.

After 18 years, Marty passed the reigns to Emily Potter. Emily came to the Big Island from New Jersey in 2001 with a degree in Business Administration and a dream. Emily immediately fell in love with the people, the lifestyle, and Waimea Town–she knew she had found “home.” Emily took a job as the Small Business Banker with the Kamuela Branch of the Bank of Hawaii where she took great pride in helping her clients become entrepreneurs and grow their businesses. Then in early 2006, she had the opportunity to realize her own dream of being a small business owner and purchased Bentleys. Marty helped with transition and the fabulous staff, Lisa, Susan, and Kathy, remained to continue to offer the extra special attention the clients expect at Bentleys. The vibrancy of Bentleys continues, and we invite you to stop by the next time you are in town.

In this cottage-style emporium, you’ll find country furnishings, casual country clothing in linens and cottons, woven hats and bags, colorful hand-painted ceramics and table linens, quilts and woven throws, accessories for the garden, luscious cookbooks, hand-carved wooden bowls, unique jewelry, bed and bath essentials, teddy bears galore and imaginative holiday collections changing with each season. As we like to say, “Bentleys is where too much – is just right!”
